We are getting closer to our departure date but still have lots to get done. We did a small 8 day final shake-down cruise last week as we visited several harbors in the waters of Green Bay. Wave Pointe, Menominee, Escanaba, and Fayette. All seems good and I think the boat is ready to go! Now we just have to button up a few things with our dirt home, a couple of weddings to attend, and we are off! It has been a long Spring and Summer getting the final work done on the boat, but all electronics are now installed and working properly, and all other systems seem to be functioning as required. The next post will be our departure from the Ephraim Yacht Harbor, and the beginning of our LOOP!
Please join Amy, Scott, and Memphis as we travel around America’s Great Loop. We hope you will enjoy our journey of over 6000 miles as we navigate inland rivers, canals, part of the Gulf of Mexico, part of the Atlantic Ocean, the Bahamas, and several of the Great Lakes. We will be visiting three countries along the route and much of the Eastern and Central United States. We are planning to take approximately one year to complete this journey, while traveling on Who Dat, our 2005 East Bay 54SX.
