Who Dat is loaded to the brim today, Wednesday September 20, 2023, as we departed our home port in Ephraim. Hard to believe that after all the planning and preparing, the day is finally here for Amy, Memphis, and I to begin America’s Great Loop.

We put the flag up and pulled out of the harbor at 11:15AM. We did the slow cruise down the shoreline and tied up to the end wall at Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club at 2:10PM after waiting on the 2PM bridge opening. I am sure we will be waiting on many more locks and bridges to open in the future.

We could not have asked for a nicer day, as the winds were light and variable and the waves did not exist! I hope we get many more days like this!!

Had to check the last of the prep off the list, and dropped our cleaning at the dry cleaners in Sturgeon Bay, where my sister-in-law will be kind enough to pick them up when ready. At least we will have some nice clean clothing when we return!

Did not have lunch today, as time kept getting away from us, so walked to Sonny’s for a late lunch/early dinner. We were then visited by our first Loop guests, Steve and Amy!

Should be a nice quiet evening and then off again tomorrow to Kewaunee WI. Hope you enjoy and have a great evening.
