Kewaunee to Sheboygan

So we spent 1-1/2 hours last night on the AGLCA Zoom call with 287 other boaters all looking to get through the IL river as quickly and orderly as possible. I want to thank Kim and the home port crew for all the hard work they are doing to get us all through the river system with all the commercial traffic as quickly as possible. Looks like we are still in flotilla #3 leaving the Joliet wall Oct 3rd if all continues to go well.

Got up this morning and went for our 3-1/2 mile walk together. A little tougher walk in Kewaunee, as we started at the bottom of the hill! Sure got the sweat going early for us both!

Pulled out of the Kewaunee channel at 10:30am, and said goodbye to fellow boaters we had met in Sturgeon Bay last year, Benedetto!

The lake was calm once again so we tried the trawler thing again. Today I made it 1-1/2 hours at 830 RPM and 10.2 MPH. Then the winds picked up and so did the waves. This boat will rock a little at slow speeds, so up we went again and cut the trip to Sheboygan in half. We arrived in Sheboygan just before 2PM.

When we arrived in Sheboygan we were told we did not have to tie on the river, instead they had a T-dock for us. Much better with the forecasted winds for two nights.

Great marina with lots of facilities, including a pool and hot tub, yes they are both still on and heated well!

Time for a walk into town for dinner and a few drinks. more tomorrow on our stay in Sheboygan! Might even get to see the grand kids while they are here in town.

Hope you have a great night and more about Sheboygan tomorrow!
