Happy New Year From Clearwater Beach 1/3/2024

Our first post of 2024 and we are still in Clearwater Beach. Since the last post a lot has happened!

We enjoyed a great visit from Bradley!

Santa did find us on the boat!

A rough Christmas morning with wind and waves but it calmed down by mid-day.

Some of our loop friends called and we were all included with the locals down at St. Pete Beach for a lunch/beach party Christmas day. It was a large group and we had a blast.

Our Looper friends Aubrey and Terri!

They take this picture every year and put a poster size print in the Tiki Bar. We will hang there forever!

We finally got a little weather break and got to explore the waterfront area by dinghy.

Before Bradley left, we had a great visit and a fun night with my God Daughter Kelly!

Kelly has decided she could do this boating thing!

We had such a great time that night, that we convinced Kelly to return a couple days later for lunch and a beach walk.

We also got to enjoy the beach with the teams and bands from UW and LSU. They were here for the bowl game on Jan 1st.

This was quite the sand sculpture.

The band with Mike the Tiger running around and entertaining the crowd.

Not sure this driver will have his job when he brings this bus back. Missed a corner by the looks of the scuff.

We have continued to relax and enjoy getting to know Clearwater Beach a little better. We have also ventured a little further out with our new toys.

We just need to make sure we stay upright on these! They have 3 different speed settings with the top speed being 22 MPH!

Now for the engine work. They sent two guys over last week to look over the options for getting the broken teeth out of the port engine and look for further damage. The main, and really good mechanic was on vacation until 1/2/24. They tried to put a plan together before he returned. Fortunately, he was here yesterday and was able to find the remaining 4 teeth and confirmed we do not have any further damage to the engines. This is great news.

The final 4 teeth!

They should be back the next two days for the final service on the engines, and we should be good to go.

We plan to stay here until 1/13/24 so we can get Amy’s new chair installed before we move on. This will save us spending a week in Miami waiting for that to be installed. The seat is actually made here in Tampa and they were going to ship it to Miami to install.

I will put up a final, I hope, post from Clearwater when all work and the chair are installed. Until then have a great week or so.
