Good morning and Happy Weekend. Today will be our last full day at Staniel Cay with Darrin and Janet.
We have had a great time seeing the area by dinghy and rented boat, but unfortunately, they depart this afternoon.
We have relaxed on the boat, relaxed by the pool, relaxed on the beach, and relaxed in the bar.
I did not take a lot of pictures since the last post, so here is a quick recap of our time here along with a little shark tidbit!

First day they arrived, stayed on the boat that night because storms would not allow us into the harbor. We made the best of it and explored a small island nearby.

Their first full moon on a boat anchored in the Bahamas!

Dinghy ride with pigs!

Dinghy ride with Iguanas.

Relaxing at the pool.

Exploring more islands.
Then we rented a 17′ boat and ran up to Compass Cay and swim with the sharks. This is not something I ever thought I would say or write. I got in the water on purpose with sharks!

This picture is before they put chum in the water to get all the sharks in by us. Again, what were we thinking!

They dropped chum in the water all around us and in they come quickly! These are just nurse sharks, so you don’t really have anything to worry about.

When you touch them, they feel like sandpaper.

The adventure must come to an end for the four of us, but it has been relaxing and fun to experience so many new things in the Bahamas with them.

Thanks again for coming down Darrin and Janet and for everything you did with and for us while here.

Sunrise picture over Who Dat! Yes I still get up early and Memphis and I usually start the day with a little walk.
So tomorrow morning we will push off from Staniel Cay and begin to head north up through the Exuma’s, then across to Eleuthera, and finally up into the Abaco’s before returning to the US sometime around the first of April.
We plan to stop at Warderick Wells for a night or two, then Norman’s Cay, Highbourne Cay, and hopefully cross over to Eleuthera this coming Thursday. We should have three stops on Eleuthera before continuing to the Abaco. There is a lot to see and do before we cross, but I am not sure I will able to post until we are in a harbor again.
Until the next post, I hope you have a great rest of your weekend and a good start to next week!
